Make spicy and cheesy jalapeño poppers wrapped in bacon. You can cook these in the oven, on the grill, or in an air fryer. This recipe is perfect for game day snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 large jalapeños
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 12 slices bacon, halved
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes. Wear gloves when handling the peppers.
  2. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, and garlic powder until combined.
  3. Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half.
  4. Wrap one half-slice of bacon around each filled jalapeño half, securing it with a toothpick if needed.
  5. Cook using your preferred method: Oven (bake at 400°F for 20-25 minutes), Grill (medium heat, turning often until bacon is crisp), or Air Fryer (375°F for 10-12 minutes).
  6. Check that the bacon is fully cooked and the cheese is melted and bubbly before serving.

Notes

  • For less heat, remove all white pith and seeds from the jalapeños.
  • You can prepare these ahead of time and refrigerate them for up to 24 hours before cooking.
  • These make great keto appetizers.
