Assemble this showstopper dessert quickly. This no-bake Baileys Chocolate Cheesecake Trifle layers rich chocolate cake, creamy cheesecake mousse, and Irish cream for an indulgent, impressive sweet treat perfect for parties or holidays.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (14.3 oz) chocolate wafer cookies or crumbled chocolate cake
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup Baileys Irish Cream liqueur
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup chocolate chips, melted
  • Optional: Chocolate shavings and fresh berries for topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare the base: Crush the chocolate wafers or cake into fine crumbs. Mix the crumbs with the melted butter until fully combined. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a large glass trifle bowl or individual serving glasses. Chill for 15 minutes.
  2. Make the cheesecake layer: In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with the granulated sugar until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
  3. Add the Baileys: Fold in the Baileys Irish Cream liqueur until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Assemble the trifle: Spoon half of the cheesecake mixture over the chilled base layer. Drizzle lightly with half of the melted chocolate.
  5. Create the next layer: If using cake pieces, layer them over the cheesecake. If using only crumbs, add a thin layer of reserved crumbs.
  6. Repeat the layers: Top with the remaining cheesecake mixture. Drizzle the remaining melted chocolate over the top.
  7. Chill: Cover the trifle and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the layers to set.
  8. Serve: Garnish with chocolate shavings or fresh berries before serving your impressive layered sweet.

Notes

  • For mini trifle recipes, use small jars or wine glasses for individual servings.
  • If you need a make ahead dessert, this recipe holds well for up to two days in the refrigerator.
  • You can substitute the chocolate cake layer with crushed Oreos for an easier, no-bake chocolate base.
