Make this juicy, flavorful baked ranch chicken using simple ingredients. It is a family-favorite recipe that comes together fast, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) dry ranch seasoning mix
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the dry ranch seasoning mix, mayonnaise, and Parmesan cheese, if using, until you have a smooth coating mixture.
  3. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. This step helps the coating stick and promotes a better texture.
  4. Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Brush the tops lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with black pepper.
  5. Spread the ranch mixture evenly over the top of each chicken breast, pressing gently so it adheres well.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit and the topping is lightly golden brown.
  7. Let the baked ranch chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a crispier topping, you can add 1/4 cup of crushed butter crackers or panko breadcrumbs to the ranch mixture.
  • If you prefer using chicken thighs, increase the baking time by 5 to 10 minutes, checking for doneness.
  • This recipe pairs well with roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes for a complete family dinner.
