Ingredients
Scale
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 can (6.5 ounces) minced clams, drained well
1/2 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
Place the softened cream cheese in a medium bowl.
Add the drained minced clams, sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, green onions, and garlic powder to the bowl.
Use a hand mixer or a sturdy spoon to combine all ingredients until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Mix until no lumps of cream cheese remain.
Season the dip with salt and pepper to your preference. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Cover the bowl and chill the clam dip in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. Chilling allows the flavors to blend.
Serve your homemade clam dip cold with crackers, potato chips, or fresh vegetables.
Notes
For a tangier clam dip, increase the lemon juice by one teaspoon.
If you prefer a slightly spicy flavor, add 1/4 teaspoon of hot sauce to the mixture.
Make this party dip ahead of time; it stores well in the refrigerator for up to three days.
