Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Place the softened butter into a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Use an electric mixer to beat the butter until it becomes light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  3. Add the powdered sugar, honey, and ground cinnamon to the bowl.
  4. Mix on low speed until the ingredients are just combined, then increase the speed to medium-high.
  5. Beat the mixture for 1 to 2 minutes until the cinnamon butter is completely smooth, creamy, and well aerated.
  6. Serve immediately with warm rolls or store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • For the best texture, make sure your butter is truly at room temperature, not melted.
  • If you prefer a stronger spice flavor, add an extra 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon.
  • This sweet spread is excellent on sweet potatoes or cornbread.
