Make this bright, herby, and creamy dill dip using simple ingredients. It is a refreshing appetizer perfect for game day, parties, or snacking with vegetables and crackers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried onion flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the softened cream cheese in a medium bowl. Use a hand mixer or spoon to beat the cream cheese until it is smooth.
  2. Add the sour cream and mayonnaise to the bowl. Mix until the base is completely combined and creamy.
  3. Stir in the fresh dill, dried onion flakes, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until the herbs and seasonings are evenly distributed throughout the dip.
  4. Cover the bowl and chill the dill dip in the refrigerator for at least one hour before serving. Chilling allows the flavors to blend.
  5. Serve your cold dip recipe with fresh vegetables, crackers, or chips.

Notes

  • For the best flavor, prepare this dip the day before you plan to serve it and let it chill overnight.
  • If you do not have fresh dill, you can substitute it with 1 tablespoon of dried dill, though fresh dill provides a brighter taste.
  • This simple dip works well as a sandwich spread or a side for grilled meats.
