Ingredients
Scale
1 (10 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (10 ounce) package milk chocolate chips
1 (12 ounce) package peanut butter chips
1 (10.5 ounce) package butterscotch chips
1 (16 ounce) bag pretzel twists or saltine crackers
1 cup chopped pecans or peanuts (optional)
Holiday sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
Line the bottom of a 4-quart or larger slow cooker with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
Place the semi-sweet chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, and butterscotch chips in the slow cooker.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes until the chips are completely melted and smooth.
Gently stir in the pretzels or saltine crackers until they are fully coated in the melted chocolate mixture. If using nuts, stir them in now.
Pour the mixture onto the prepared parchment paper. Spread it into an even layer.
If you are using sprinkles, immediately sprinkle them over the top of the warm candy.
Allow the candy to cool completely at room temperature, or place it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to set faster.
Once firm, break the candy into irregular pieces. Store in an airtight container.
Notes
For a saltine cracker base, use about 1 sleeve of crackers, broken into medium pieces.
If you prefer a saltier flavor, use salted pretzels.
You can substitute the chocolate chips with almond bark or melting wafers for easier melting.
