Make this sparkling champagne punch for your next celebration. It is simple to prepare, uses fresh fruit, and serves a crowd well for brunch or holiday events.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (750 ml) bottle chilled Champagne or sparkling wine
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup green grapes, halved
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup white grape juice or sparkling white grape juice
  • 1 cup lemon-lime soda, chilled
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup (optional, for extra sweetness)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your fruit: Slice the strawberries and halve the grapes. Thinly slice the orange.
  2. In a large punch bowl, combine the sliced strawberries, grapes, and orange slices.
  3. Pour the chilled white grape juice (or sparkling white grape juice) and simple syrup, if using, over the fruit mixture. Gently stir.
  4. Just before serving, slowly pour in the chilled Champagne and the lemon-lime soda. Do not stir vigorously, as you want to keep the carbonation.
  5. Serve immediately in glasses filled with ice, making sure each serving gets some of the fruit garnish.

Notes

  • For an elegant presentation, freeze some of the fruit slices ahead of time to use as ice cubes in the punch bowl.
  • If you need to make this ahead, combine the fruit, juice, and syrup up to 4 hours in advance. Add the Champagne and soda right before guests arrive.
  • To make this a Pink Champagne Punch, substitute the white grape juice with cranberry juice or use a pink sparkling wine.
