Make this rich, creamy chocolate dip that tastes like brownie batter in a bowl. It is simple to prepare and perfect for dipping fruit, pretzels, or cookies.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup Nutella or chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk (or heavy cream for richer texture)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Place the softened cream cheese and Nutella into a large mixing bowl. Beat them together with an electric mixer until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the powdered sugar and cocoa powder to the bowl. Mix on low speed until just combined, then increase the speed to medium and beat until smooth. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  3. Pour in the vanilla extract, milk, and salt. Beat the mixture until it is light, fluffy, and reaches a thick, spoonable consistency similar to brownie batter.
  4. Taste the dip and adjust sweetness or chocolate flavor if desired.
  5. Transfer the chocolate dip to a serving bowl. Serve immediately with your favorite dippers, or cover and chill for 30 minutes to allow it to firm up slightly.

Notes

  • For an extra decadent dip, replace the milk with heavy cream.
  • If you want a thicker coating consistency, reduce the milk to 2 tablespoons.
  • This dip pairs well with strawberries, apple slices, graham crackers, and pretzels.
