Ingredients
Scale
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
4 ounces smoked salmon, finely chopped
2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Pinch of salt (optional, taste first)
2 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt or sour cream (optional, for extra creaminess)
Instructions
Place the softened cream cheese in a medium bowl.
Add the chopped smoked salmon, fresh dill, lemon juice, lemon zest, and black pepper to the bowl.
If using, add the Greek yogurt or sour cream now.
Use a fork or hand mixer to combine all ingredients until smooth and well blended. Do not overmix.
Taste the dip and add a pinch of salt if needed, depending on the saltiness of your smoked salmon.
Cover the bowl and chill the dip in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to meld.
Serve cold with crackers, bagel chips, cucumber slices, or vegetable sticks.
Notes
You can make this dip up to 2 days ahead of time. Store it covered in the refrigerator.
For a different flavor, substitute capers for the lemon zest.
If you prefer a chunkier texture, gently fold in half of the chopped salmon after mixing the base ingredients.
