Ingredients
Scale
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
1/2 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese
1/2 cup finely chopped salami
1/2 cup finely chopped ham
1/4 cup finely chopped black olives (optional)
Instructions
In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and mayonnaise until smooth.
Stir in the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper until fully mixed.
Fold in the chopped red onion, green bell pepper, provolone cheese, salami, ham, and black olives, if using. Mix gently until all ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the creamy base.
Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl.
Cover the bowl and chill the Hoagie Dip in the refrigerator for at least one hour to allow the flavors to meld.
Serve cold with crackers, crostini, or sturdy vegetable sticks. This is a great Game Day Dip.
Notes
For a warm version, mix all ingredients except the mayonnaise. Stir in 1/2 cup mayonnaise and 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes until hot and bubbly.
You can substitute the salami and ham with other Italian cold cuts like capicola or mortadella for a different flavor profile.
If you are serving this as a Sub Sandwich Dip, use high-quality deli meats for the best flavor.
