Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the rice to the pan and cook, stirring frequently, until the grains turn light golden brown, about 5 to 7 minutes. This toasting step is key for authentic flavor.
  3. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
