Make this sweet and spicy peach salsa in under 10 minutes. It is a fresh, no-cook condiment perfect for topping grilled chicken, fish tacos, or serving with tortilla chips.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large ripe peaches, diced
  • 1/2 cup red onion, finely diced
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced (use 2 for more heat)
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare all your produce. Dice the peaches, finely dice the red onion, and mince the jalapeño.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the diced peaches, red onion, minced jalapeño, chopped cilantro, lime juice, and salt.
  3. Gently stir all ingredients together until they are evenly mixed.
  4. Taste the salsa and adjust salt or lime juice as needed.
  5. Serve immediately with tortilla chips, or use as a topping for grilled meats or tacos.

Notes

  • For a smoky flavor, substitute the fresh jalapeño with one finely minced chipotle pepper in adobo sauce.
  • If you want to preserve this salsa, follow safe water bath canning procedures for fruit salsas.
  • This salsa works well as a side dish for BBQ gatherings.
