You will make tender chicken breasts baked with a sweet and spicy hot honey drizzle and creamy feta cheese. This recipe offers a perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and savory flavors, making it an impressive but easy dinner for any night.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup hot honey (or regular honey mixed with 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes)
  • 4 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Rub the chicken with olive oil, then season evenly with smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes.
  5. Remove the dish from the oven. Drizzle the hot honey evenly over the chicken breasts.
  6. Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese over the top of each chicken breast.
  7. Return the dish to the oven and bake for another 8 to 12 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius) and the feta is slightly softened and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  9. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley. Serve this juicy chicken breast immediately.

Notes

  • If you prefer a skillet chicken method, sear the chicken on the stovetop first until golden brown, then add the honey and feta and finish cooking in the oven or covered on the stove.
  • For a Keto chicken recipe option, skip adding extra sugar to the honey and ensure your hot honey brand is low-carb.
  • This pairs well with roasted vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
