Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup crumbled cooked bacon
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds, toasted
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • Crackers, chips, or vegetable sticks for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and mayonnaise. Mix until the base is smooth and fully combined.
  2. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, and chopped green onions into the cream base. Mix well to distribute the ingredients evenly.
  3. Fold in half of the toasted sliced almonds.
  4. Transfer the dip mixture to a serving dish.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining toasted sliced almonds over the top of the dip for garnish.
  6. Cover the dish and chill the Neiman Marcus Dip in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to meld.
  7. Serve your creamy cheese dip cold with your favorite crackers, tortilla chips, or fresh vegetables for dipping.

Notes

  • Toasting the almonds enhances their flavor and crunch. Spread them on a dry skillet over medium heat and cook for 3-5 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
  • You can prepare this retro dip recipe ahead of time. Make it up to 24 hours in advance and keep it covered in the refrigerator.
  • This dip is excellent for game day or holiday appetizers. It is a great make ahead appetizer.
