Make this easy, creamy Pecan Pie Dip that captures all the sweet, buttery flavor of classic pecan pie without any baking. It is a perfect, quick holiday appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Fold the whipped cream gently into the cream cheese mixture until just combined.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly into a shallow serving dish. Chill while you prepare the topping.
  4. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the chopped pecans, brown sugar, melted butter, corn syrup, and salt.
  5. Stir the topping mixture constantly until it boils and thickens slightly, about 3 to 5 minutes. Do not overcook.
  6. Remove the pecan topping from the heat and let it cool for 5 minutes.
  7. Pour the warm pecan topping evenly over the chilled cream cheese base.
  8. Chill the dip for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

  • Serve this dip with graham crackers, apple wedges, vanilla wafers, or sturdy pretzels for dipping.
  • You can prepare the cream cheese base one day ahead and store it covered in the refrigerator. Add the topping just before serving.
  • For extra flavor, lightly toast the pecans before adding them to the saucepan.
