Make these simple, creamy sugar cookie truffles using only a few ingredients. They are a perfect no-bake dessert for parties or holiday gifting.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16 ounce) package store-bought sugar cookies
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 12 ounces white chocolate melting wafers or white candy coating
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Sprinkles for decoration (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the sugar cookies in a food processor and pulse until you have fine crumbs. If you do not have a food processor, place cookies in a large zip-top bag and crush them thoroughly with a rolling pin.
  2. Transfer the cookie crumbs to a medium bowl. Add the softened cream cheese and vanilla extract, if using. Mix well until the mixture is completely combined and forms a dough-like consistency.
  3. Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place the rolled balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Chill the cookie balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm them up. This step is important for easy dipping.
  5. Melt the white chocolate wafers according to package directions, usually in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  6. Dip each chilled truffle ball into the melted white chocolate, allowing excess chocolate to drip off. You can use a fork or a dipping tool.
  7. Immediately place the dipped truffle back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet. If desired, top with sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet.
  8. Return the finished truffles to the refrigerator until the chocolate coating is completely set.

Notes

  • For a quicker set time on the chocolate coating, you can chill the dipped truffles for 10-15 minutes after coating.
  • If you prefer a slightly less sweet center, use slightly less cookie than cream cheese, but maintain the dough consistency.
  • These make-ahead treats store well in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
