Make this simple, creamy whipped feta dip in minutes. It features a salty feta base topped with sweet honey and crunchy pistachios, making it a perfect party appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz block feta cheese, drained
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, plus more for drizzling
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons honey, for drizzling
  • 1/4 cup shelled pistachios, roughly chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh herbs (like thyme or parsley), chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the drained feta cheese, softened cream cheese, Greek yogurt, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, and black pepper into a food processor.
  2. Process the ingredients until the mixture is completely smooth and airy. Stop and scrape down the sides as needed. This usually takes 2 to 4 minutes.
  3. Transfer the whipped feta dip to a shallow serving bowl. Use the back of a spoon to create a slight well in the center.
  4. Drizzle the top generously with honey.
  5. Sprinkle the chopped pistachios and fresh herbs over the honey and dip.
  6. Drizzle a small amount of extra olive oil over the top just before serving.
  7. Serve immediately with pita bread, crackers, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, use hot honey instead of regular honey.
  • You can prepare this dip up to one day ahead; store it covered in the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for 20 minutes before serving.
  • If you do not have a food processor, you can use a high-powered blender, but you may need to add an extra teaspoon of olive oil for easier blending.
